Natalia Howard, Artist
A little bit about myself:
I fell in love with art ever since I held a pencil in my hand and drew a line on my bedroom wall; what you
might call “creative squiggles”. I’ve been creating art ever since. I studied fine art first in high school and
later – at York University. At university I took courses in art history and simultaneously studied how to
draw and paint at an art studio under the direction of artist Nadia Seagull. I have completed courses in
art conservation and in curating art gallery exhibits as part of the Museum Studies and Curatorship
program at Fleming College. I’m now on the verge of receiving my Art and Design Studio Skills Certificate
from OCAD University.
I started teaching painting in 2016. I teach how to make a specific painting using acrylic paint by guiding
the learners step-by-step and painting along with them. It takes about 2 hours for learners to complete a
painting; all supplies are included. No prior knowledge is necessary. This is perfect for beginners and
intermediate learners. Advanced classes are different in that they involve a certain art medium, such as
oil paint, acrylic pour, etc.
